How Do I Learn About the Catholic Church?
For those who want to learn more about the Catholic faith we will have a series of weekly meetings which start on Sunday, September 28th and continue, with a few breaks, through Easter. All meetings are held on Sundays after the 10:30 Eucharist from Noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Parish Center.
The meetings focus on sharing and discussing Catholic beliefs and practices, Scripture, prayer and community. For many this process leads to seeking membership in the Catholic Church.
However, there is no obligation to become a member of the Catholic Church. All who want to learn about the Catholic Church are welcome.
The process by which we share our faith and welcome new members into the Catholic Church is called the "Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults" R.C.I.A. The RCIA process is one of sharing, believing, praying and serving.

Become A Parish Sponsor
Another important part of the RCIA Program is the role of Parish Companion or Sponsor. The process of learning about the Catholic Church is truly enriched by the presence of parish members serving as companions to those inquiring about our church. Sponsors are not _ expected to be experts or to have all the answers. Rather they are women and men who are willing to share what their faith means to them. Sponsors attend and participate in the meetings and provide personal support to those inquiring about our Church. It's a great experience!
Parish Sponsor Meeting There will be a required meeting for anyone who would like to become a Sponsor on Sunday, September 21 st, in the Parish Center from Noon until 1:30 p.m. At this meeting you will learn more about the respondsibilities, expectations and role of a Sponsor.
Become A Prayer Partner
Later this year parishioners will be given an opportunity to take home a picture of one of this year's Inquirers. On the back will appear the name of the Inquirer, along with some fun facts. Please feel free to take one home and pray for that Inquirer throughout the year.
